In the fall all juniors are required to take the Junior Seminar. An integral part of the college counseling program, the seminar is intended to educate and demystify students on the college process by covering the following topics:

  • Why go to college?
  • Test preparation
  • Building a resume
  • Finding the right college
  • Visiting and interview techniques
  • The application process
  • College essays
  • Teacher recommendations
  • The NCAA
  • Scholarship searches

  • As part of the seminar, each student is provided with a comprehensive binder of information, sample letters, resumes and suggestions about the college process from start to finish. At the seminar's conclusion, each junior is assigned a college counselor; students are free to switch counselors as needed.
